Comics have long been a gateway to literacy and creativity, providing a powerful blend of storytelling and visual art that captures the imagination of all ages. By the end of the session, participants will have developed their own characters, designed a short comic page, and gained a deeper appreciation for storytelling through sequential art. This workshop also serves to: (1) Encourage literacy and visual communication skills, (2) Foster self-expression through art and storytelling, (3) Inspire the next generation of comic book creators by showing them that their ideas and creativity matter, and (4) Provide an inclusive and engaging space for kids of all skill levels to explore their imagination.
